Swansea City Boosted As Target Agrees Loan Move To Club
The Swans are in the market to do business before the window closes and they are raiding a Premier League side for an option.
Chelsea defender Humphreys is the man that Swansea want to sign and they look set to be successful.
Humphreys has given the green light to a move to Swansea and is happy to spend the season in the Championship with the Welsh outfit.
The 20-year-old had a loan stint in Germany with Paderborn during the second half of last season, playing in the German second tier.
Chelsea will be looking to see him play on a regular basis for Swansea.
Humphreys is a product of Chelsea’s esteemed youth system and has been capped by England at multiple youth levels.
The defender will add to Michael Duff’s options at the back at Swansea.
Swansea City poised to re-sign Bournemouth’s Jamal Lowe in surprise deadline-day swoop
Swansea City are exploring a deadline-day return for striker Jamal Lowe.
A forward has been near the top of Michael Duff’s deadline-day wishlist following the recent departure of star striker Joel Piroe, who completed a move to Leeds United last week.
They now look set to turn to the 29-year-old Jamaican international, two years after his departure for Bournemouth in a £1.5million move. Several other clubs are believed to be keen, but it’s understood Swansea believe they are well placed to get a move done.
Should it go through, the move is likely to be a loan deal up until January, and would make him the third striker to arrive at the club following earlier moves for Jerry Yates and Mykola Kuharevich.
Lowe has played 40 games for the Cherries since leaving south Wales, netting eight goals. He was previously a big part of the side that reached the Championship play-off final under Steve Cooper in 2021. The forward left having scored 14 goals in 58 games in all competitions for the Swans.
Meanwhile, reports linking Liam Cullen with a move to Blackburn Rovers have been heavily played down by Swans insiders.
Indeed, it’s understood the club are now keen on keeping the 24-year-old, who was recently called up to Rob Page’s Wales squad.
