According to Fabrizio Romano, Jaidon Anthony will arrive in Leeds later on Saturday, September 2, after Leeds United and Bournemouth agreed to a straight loan swap for Luis Sinisterra.
Anthony’s loan move to Elland Road was completed before the transfer window closed, according to the Italian transfer guru, who verified this in the wee hours of Saturday morning (2 September) on his personal Twitter account.
After the deadline on Friday, September 1, Sky Sports News broadcast live from the Vitality Stadium, stating that Anthony, “who lit up the Championship” with the Cherries, was heading the other way with Luis Sinisterra.
The 23-year-old winger has been signed by Leeds, and according to Romano, Anthony is scheduled to arrive in Yorkshire on Saturday after the Whites finalized his loan swap on deadline day.
“Jaidon Anthony will travel to Leeds later today after documents are signed prior to the window closing,” he tweeted.
In the last hours, a season-long loan from Bournemouth was agreed upon.
Outstanding business
The experience for Leeds United supporters this summer was similar to what they went through on deadline day as another one of their heroes left the club.
Before the deal sheet guaranteed further time to reach this agreement, the Sinisterra maneuver was on, then off, and then appeared to be off again.
And just when Daniel Farke was about to lose one of his key players, the team pulled off a coup, ensuring that Sinisterra won’t be missed as much at Elland Road as the supporters anticipated given Anthony’s departure.

The 23-year-old winger is just as gifted and talented as Sinisterra, and given his recent success in the Championship the season before last and his crucial role in Scott Parker’s promotion success at the Vitality Stadium during the 2021/22 campaign, he is a lock to make an immediate impact at Elland Road.
Anthony contributed to the Cherries’ fight for Premier League survival by scoring eight goals, dishing out six assists, and playing in all 30 games under Gary O’Neil last season. The 23-year-old is therefore well-equipped to succeed under Farke’s guidance quickly.
Losing a star player on the last day is undoubtedly devastating, but getting a proven Championship performer in exchange significantly lessens the damage.
