More than half of Newcastle fans predict Alexander Isak will win the Golden Boot ahead of Salah and Haaland.
According to Ladbrokes’ latest Fanzone research, over 52% of Newcastle fans believe their forward Alexander Isak will win the Golden Boot this season in England’s top flight.
Only 5% of Britons expect Man City great Erling Haaland to win the title for the second year in a row. Callum Wilson, Isak’s teammate, is also favored by the Toon Army against Haaland, with 10% of betting going in his favor.
These stats originate from Ladbrokes’ new Fanzone, where if you’re a fan of a top-tier club, you can sign up and earn boosts made on your favorite team. You’ll also get a slew of extra bonuses, such as free bets and free games to play.
Newcastle’s Swedish forward scored 10 league goals in 22 appearances under Eddie Howe last season, helping the Magpies enter Europe’s best club competition for the first time since the 2002/2003 season.
Isak has already scored twice in four games for the Tyneside club this season, however both came on the first day of the season in a 5-1 hammering of Aston Villa.
It's been 20 years since Newcastle were in the Champions League. How far will the Magpies fly this time around?

While fans may not always agree with the Geordies’ predictions, there is evidence that they believe Isak will be Haaland’s main contender for the Golden Boot. Haaland has received 16% of market bets, with Isak receiving 13% of the money. Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez of Liverpool come in second and third in the betting, with 8% and 7% of the bets, respectively.
It’s reasonable to assume that anyone who wants to dethrone the Norwegian striker will need to have a season to remember. Last season, the 23-year-old scored 35 goals in his rookie season. While some supporters feared he would not be able to maintain his success this season, the juggernaut has already scored seven goals in five league games.
Tottenham fans, like Newcastle fans, expect their own player to outperform Haaland. 21% of Spurs fans who have bet on the market this season have backed their own striker Son-Heung Min, while 18% believe Haaland will win back-to-back titles.
