Brad Stevens Provides An Injury Update On Two Important Celtics Players

The Boston Celtics added extra firepower to their already great team this offseason when they acquired Kristaps Porzingis.

Porzingis is undeniably one of the NBA’s most talented big men, but injuries have kept him from realizing his full potential.
However, Porzingis played more than 60 games for the first time since his sophomore year in 2022-23, which is surely welcome news for Celtics fans.

In other positive news, team general manager Brad Stevens provided an update on Kristaps Porzingis and Malcolm Brogdon’s health on Twitter via Legion Hoops.

According to Stevens, Porzingis and Brogdon are totally healthy for the NBA Training Camp.

While Porzingis is likely to start alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown during the regular season, Brogdon will fill in as the Celtics’ sixth man.

In 2022-23, Porzingis averaged 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game with the Washington Wizards.

Brogdon, on the other hand, averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game for the Boston Celtics last season.

The two talents are set to be colleagues in 2023-24, but that may not be the case for long.

It was recently rumored that the Celtics are looking for a trade partner for Malcolm Brogdon.

It’s obviously surprising given that he’s only been with the Celtics for one season.

But, if he decides to stay with the Celtics, being fully fit to begin the season is obviously a plus.

Will the Celtics win the championship next season? The only way to know is to wait and see.
