GOOD NEWS: 17 years Old Signs First Professional Coventry City contract

The young midfielder has committed his future to the Sky Blues!

We are delighted to confirm that youngster Evan Eghosa has signed his first professional contract with the Club.

 

The versatile midfielder has signed a two-year deal with the Sky Blues off the back of an impressive season for the Under-21s, during which he established himself as an important player in John Dempster’s side reached the final of the Birmingham Senior Cup.

His impressive 2022/23 campaign saw him rewarded with a pre-season spent training and playing alongside senior stars at the Sky Blue Lodge and on tour in Portugal.

 

The 17-year-old played 45 minutes against both Shrewsbury Town and Forest Green Rovers, as well as enjoying a second-half cameo against Milton Keynes Dons.

Coventry City have confirmed squad numbers for the 2023/24 season.

The Sky Blues’ eight new signings so far this Summer have all selected their numbers for their first campaigns as Coventry City players.

 

The rest of the numbers are unchanged except for Jake Bidwell, who moves to number 21.

 

The league campaign gets underway on Sunday 6th August, when the Sky Blues visit Leicester City for their first Sky Bet Championship fixture, live on Sky Sports (12pm KO).

 

The first home game is on Saturday 12th August, when Mark Robins’ side host Middlesbrough (12:30pm KO).
