Newcastle has unveiled an insightful interview featuring Bruno Guimaraes and his father following the Brazilian’s recent contract extension, securing his presence at the club until 2028.
As we are aware, Bruno’s father has played an influential role in his life, serving as a significant source of inspiration. This connection runs so deep that Bruno chose to wear the number 39 on his jersey, the same number his father once had on his taxi back in Brazil.
During the interview, the father-son duo shared their profound appreciation for the support they’ve received from the city’s passionate fans. Bruno, in particular, expressed that he has never felt a stronger bond with supporters than he does in Newcastle, remarking, “this is where I have felt most loved by the fans.”
Despite initially grappling with the chilly climate, the 25-year-old midfielder now finds himself “very happy” to commit to the club for an extended period. He eagerly anticipates bringing even more joy to the fans in the coming years.
Recalling the recent PSG match, Bruno regarded it as one of the most electrifying atmospheres he has ever experienced, relishing the opportunity to participate in such a “spectacular” game as Newcastle made its triumphant return to the Champions League.
Looking ahead, Bruno is excited about his future in Tyneside, particularly with the arrival of his newborn son, Pietro, who he affectionately calls “another Geordie.” Additionally, Matteo, his other child, is set to begin school in Newcastle, and there are hints from his father that he may follow in Bruno’s footsteps as a future Toon player.
