Newcastle are considering a deal for former Celtic star Jota, according to 90min, just months after he joined Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad.
The Portuguese international is currently dissatisfied with his new club because he is not registered for domestic games, and he has attracted interest from Newcastle and Tottenham.
Ange Postecoglu will be eager to reunite with his former teammate, and their time together in Glasgow might be a deciding factor in the £25 million man’s next transfer.
Newcastle, on the other hand, are looking for a versatile attacker in the January window and are reportedly considering a move for the 24-year-old, who has 15 goals and 12 assists for Celtic last season.

Jota can play on either flank and might be useful with Jacob Murphy, Harvey Barnes, and Miguel Almiron all injured. The related-party prohibition, which is slated to go into effect in January, would limit our ability to sign some Saudi Pro League talents on loan, but permanent transactions are feasible if the fee is fair market value.
