QPR forward Steven Bala has joined Slough Town on loan, according to the club’s official website.
QPR have allowed the youngster to leave on a temporary basis in order for him to gain some experience.
Bala, 20, will spend the next month in the National League South, hoping to receive as much playing time as possible in the next four weeks.
He isn’t the only young Hoops’ player leaving on a temporary basis, with 18-year-old goalkeeper Harry Cant linking up with Ashford Town on a two-month work experience loan.
QPR loan repayment
Bala’s move to Slough provides an opportunity for him to advance. He will profit more from playing senior football rather than with the R’s young team.
Before joining the Hoops two years ago, the forward was on the books at National League club Barnet.
He has yet to appear for QPR in the Championship, but he has been a regular for their U18 and U21 teams in recent years.
Bala is a London native who represents Albania at the international level. He is a versatile player who can play as an attacking midfielder or on either wing.
For the first time in his career, Bala has been loaned out. Slough currently sits in 20th place in the sixth division, one point above the relegation zone.
He leaves behind a QPR squad that is struggling for its life. They recently replaced Gareth Ainsworth with Marti Cifuentes and are currently 23rd in the table, five points from safety.
The R’s are back in action this weekend with a tricky away trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich City.
