Historically, the Chiefs could rely on Tyreek Hill, but his trade to the Miami Dolphins before last season left a void. Meanwhile, JuJu Smith-Schuster, who contributed to the Chiefs’ previous championship, departed for the New England Patriots during the offseason, intensifying the pressure on star tight end Travis Kelce. However, depending too heavily on Kelce has made the Chiefs’ offensive strategy somewhat predictable.

Rookie Rashee Rice, with 591 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games, has been hoped to emerge as a new receiving threat, but he is still in the process of developing into that role.
