Lando Norris lamented the ‘worst Christmas present ever’ after receiving a pair of Oscar Piastri socks in a video posted to McLaren’s YouTube page.
F1 teams, like many offices throughout the UK, are shutting down ahead of the Christmas season, and McLaren’s Woking headquarters is no exception.
McLaren, on the other hand, created a ‘wrap fight’ film for their supporters, with the Australian Piastri taking on Norris in the most significant team-mate battle of the season.
Norris’ gift was a pair of socks with his teammate’s face embossed on the design, which he said will become his “race day specials.”

Norris being ungrateful
The item, however, evidently did not impress the Brit, who described it as “the worst Christmas present I have ever received in my life.”
It’s rather normal for folks to be given a pair of socks they don’t want or need on Christmas Day (usually by a distant aunt or uncle), but one would hope they treat it with a bit more gratitude than Norris did.
