Breaking News: Auburn Regret To Announce the departure of another star

Mississippi State football has delved into the transfer portal once again to enhance its 2024 transfer class. Wilky Denaud, who redshirted during his solitary season at Auburn, is set to join the ranks as a Mississippi State Bulldog. Initially recognized as a 4-star prospect in high school, the Fort Pierce, Florida native, showcased his skills at John Carroll High School, amassing 79 tackles and five sacks in his senior season.

Despite receiving offers from prominent institutions like Florida, Arkansas, and Florida State, Denaud ultimately chose Auburn. With the Bulldogs facing specific needs, particularly on the defensive side, the addition of Denaud aligns with the team’s strategy. David Turner, the Bulldog defensive line coach, has been proactive in addressing these needs, securing commitments from Purdue transfer Sulaiman Kpaka and North Carolina transfer Kedrick Bingley-Jones.

Wilky Denaud, Auburn, Defensive Line

The departure of defensive linemen Jaden Crumedy and Nathan Pickering, both starters for MSU, along with the transfer of freshman Jonathan Davis, underscores the urgency for the Bulldogs to not only replace their starters but also bolster their depth.

Denaud is anticipated to assume a five-technique role in college, bringing his 6-4, 295-pound frame into a competitive environment for both starting defensive line positions. While his college playing experience is limited, the Bulldogs recognize his potential and view him as a valuable addition to address the defensive line’s depth.
