The Green Bay Packers provided a concerning report on top cornerback Jaire Alexander Thursday afternoon. Alexander is dealing with shoulder and ankle issues this week as the Packers prepare to face the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round.

Alexander played despite his ailments against the Dallas Cowboys last week. However, he worsened the injury during the Packers’ victory over the Cowboys. Alexander didn’t practice on Wednesday. Head coach Matt LaFleur stated Wednesday that he hoped Alexander could practice on Thursday.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur gives updates on AJ Dillon, Jaire Alexander ahead of Divisional Round

Per Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, Alexander did not practice on Thursday.

LaFleur indicated Thursday afternoon that Alexander’s availability to play against the 49ers this weekend is “questionable”.

Alexander was unable to practice on Thursday, which is not a good sign. However, the Packers do not want to risk exacerbating his injuries before the Divisional Round.
